Noodle Factory is a ten piece band using traditional jazz instrumentation. The players are Ian Burbidge, Jason Hunter and Cam Porter on Saxophone, Wayne McGrath on trumpet, Brian Windross on trumpet and vocals, Peter Rissi and Ron Code on Trombone, Mike Grace on bass, Fred Parsons on piano and David Malito on drums. The band members are all heavily involved in music in the area, many playing with several bands. They draw experience from playing with Razzmatazz, Sploink, Lighthouse Swing Band, Lulus Roadhouse Band and from involvement with local camps including the Southampton Summer Music and the Kincardine Summer Music Camp.

The music is an eclectic mix including some original compositions as well as new takes on jazz standards, jazzed up Beatles tunes and some Tower of Power funk. Arrangements are by Ian Burbidge, Wayne McGrath, Cam Porter, and Don Buchanan. Burbidge studied composition at Queens University and has studied arranging with Dave McMurdo. He has been writing and arranging for over 25 years providing music for many school ensembles, community musicals and theatre productions and for the Stardust Big Band. After a weekend course in jazz composition at Eden Mills, Ontario, Burbidge wanted to try writing for a more pared down ensemble and thus - The Noodle Factory Jazz Project.
